What Happens When New People Join Your Team?

Are you prepared for staff turnover? It’s inevitable. Your team may be brilliant... yes, they may really know everything. Trouble is—your OMS team isn’t likely to stay together forever.

When new people join the team, they could have a very difficult time learning “everything” if systems and procedures are poorly documented or worse, not documented at all! This happens all the time when teams that have been together for a long time. They don’t bother to document what everyone already knows. However, most long-term teams will split up eventually—that’s life.

Document your systems now—even if it seems a little silly. Later on, you’ll be very glad you did!
